Food Distribution Project

About Our Food Distribution Project
At JIQ, our Food Distribution Project identifies the most vulnerable groups, including poor widows and needy families, in remote villages of Eastern Bihar where aid rarely reaches.
What We Do
Millions of poor families, especially widows and their children, are living in extreme poverty. In many developing countries, men are the primary breadwinners. When they are no longer present, widows are often left without support, forced to beg to feed their children.
How We Help
We provide families with enough food and essentials to last for months, offering them not just sustenance but also hope and confidence. This support allows parents to focus on their children’s education, creating a pathway to break free from the poverty cycle.
How It Works
1. All food and essentials are purchased locally to support the local economy.
2. Distribution is carried out by our workers and volunteers.
3. Identity checks and verification by local community leaders ensure that aid reaches those who need it most.
For just £30-£50 per month, depending on the size of the family, you can provide a month’s supply of food and essentials.
This cost may vary based on location, price changes, and currency exchange rates.
With your support, we can help even more families in need.
