About Our Education For All Project
At JIQ, we believe that every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and succeed. By educating these children, we hope to create a generation that can uplift their families and communities, bringing hope and comfort to those in need.
What We Do
During visits to Eastern Bihar, JIQ trustees have witnessed heartbreaking conditions:
1. Schools and hostels unfit for children, lacking essential facilities.
2. Children sleeping on cold, stone floors with just a single blanket.
3. Kitchens overrun with mice, rats, and insects.
4. Families too poor to afford school fees, forcing children to work long hours in fields, cafes, or shops.
Many of these children are orphans, left to fend for themselves, while others come from families that cannot afford even the most basic education expenses.
How We Help
In the UK, we are fortunate to have an advanced, compulsory education system, with schools that are welcoming and well-equipped. But imagine sending your children to a school with:
No building, no shade from the sun, no desks, and no chairs.
No books, uniforms, or proper footwear.
No toilets or bathrooms, leaving children without basic hygiene facilities.
Unfortunately, this is the harsh reality for countless children in Eastern Bihar, a region severely impacted by poverty.
